I know what you are going through because I have been there.
The first time I dealt with lice was when my oldest daughter was in kindergarten. (She is now in college.) I received a note home from the school nurse explaining what lice is and that I must treat her with an over-the-counter product before she would be allowed back in school. Well, I had never even heard of lice before this, so needless to say I was totally freaked out! I did what the school asked, but as I now know, I went completely overboard in regards to cleaning, laundry, throwing things out and especially by using a toxic treatment product on my daughter's head. My three children have gotten lice many times over the years (Nine cases in total!). With each infestation I did research and learned more about how to naturally and effectively treat head lice. Then during one episode I had my "Aha!" moment. I had created a treatment process that worked which utilized natural products, was more effective at removing lice and nits than anything else I had tried, and best of all, my kids didn't mind it! After helping friends and family for years, my sister-in-law suggested I go into the lice removal business. After I stopped laughing at the idea I realized that it was a perfect fit for me. I am very detailed oriented (my family has always referred to me as being a nitpicker), and I like working with my hands (I previously was a decorative painter doing murals and faux finishing). I enjoy being able to help other mothers who are in the freaking out stage or who are frustrated with products and methods that haven't worked. By the time I leave someone's home, they are calm, educated about lice removal and prevention, and confident that their family is lice free. I look forward to helping your family too.
